Le nom d'artiste Elle Ash est inspiré par les initiales LH du véritable nom de l'artiste, Lydie Humbert. Ce sont ces initiales qu'elle appose en signature sur ses tableaux.
Elle Ash commence à peindre à la fin des années 70, après le décès de sa maman. Elle peint l'épicerie où elle a grandi, et sans s'en rendre compte, elle peint la silhouette de sa mère derrière la porte vitrée du magasin.
Ce sera le début d'une aventure artistique incroyable.
The artist’s name Elle Ash is inspired by the initials LH of the real name of the artist, Lydie Humbert. These are the initials she signs on her paintings.
Elle Ash starts painting at the end of the 70s, after the death of her mom. She paints the grocery store where she grew up, and without realizing it, she paints the silhouette of her mother behind the glass door of the store.
It will be the beginning of an incredible artistic adventure.

Elle Ash commence à peindre le soir, lorsque les enfants sont couchés, et que son mari rentre tard. Elle peint lorsqu'elle est en congé, lorsque quelque chose l'inspire.
En 1978, la famille s'installe à Grenoble .
Elle Ash continue de peindre.
En 2000, elle prend sa retraite et intègre alors un cours aux Beaux-Arts de Grenoble.
De cours en stages, de stages en ateliers, elle continue encore aujourd'hui son petit chemin artistique, explorant, innovant, revisitant des oeuvres et des courants au gré de son imaginaire ...
Elle Ash starts painting in the evening, when the children are in bed, and her husband comes home late. She paints when she is on leave, when something inspires her.

Elle Ash continues to paint.
In 2000, she retired and then joined a course at the Beaux-Arts de Grenoble.
